My favorite pens & markers for planners

Favorite PensMarkers Blog.png

I’ve finally found my favorite pens and markers for my planner!

I’ve been known to purchase lots of different pens and markers to try and see if I like the way they write. Are you that way? I drive myself crazy because I have so many baskets in a drawer full of pens just waiting to be used.

It’s not that I don’t like the pen. It’s just some aren’t the “perfect” pen for my planner.

I like for them to be smooth writing and to click open. I don’t want to pull the top off every time I have an idea or need to write something quickly. It’s definitely a smidge of OCD.

I also like pens and markers that come in different colors. I use a system in my planner that is color coded. This same system is used for my digital planner.

Each family member has a color. My to-do list items have a certain color. Family events have a certain color. Those colors are memorized and easy for me to take a quick glance and know what or who an item is for.

Here are my top 5 favorites:

Top 5 PensMarkers 2021.png
  1. Papermate Ink Joy Gel 0.7

  2. Pilot Frixon Erasable (the lid pops off but I’m adjusting :-)

  3. Zebra CLICKART

  4. Pen + Gear Ultra Fine

  5. Pilot Frixon Erasable Clicker 0.7

I believe adding color to your planner makes you happier and more willing to use it. I know that isn’t the case for all.

However, if you are one that has a planner but doesn’t use it because it doesn’t bring you JOY, I encourage you to grab some colored pens or markers. Add a little life to your planner. Even get yourself some stickers!

Happy Colorful Planning!
